Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 49-year-old Daniel E. Lauture, 49, of Cliffside Park on charges of explicit assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a Minor.
According to county officials, Friday, September 20, the Cliffside Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding alleged abuse of a minor.
Officials say an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cliffside Park Police Department revealed that Lauture engaged in explicit conduct with a minor in Cliffside Park.
Lauture was arrested in Cliffside Park and charged with second-degree sex assault and child endangerment.
He has been remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
