Police in Bergen County are actively searching for multiple suspects involved in a carjacking in Oakland early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred shortly before 2:50 a.m. on West Oakland Avenue, where authorities were dispatched after receiving reports of a carjacking in progress.
According to the victim, approximately five male suspects exited a white SUV and took their black BMW before fleeing the scene.
The stolen vehicle, bearing New Jersey license plate number "H41-SVH," was last seen heading southbound on I-287.
It is unclear whether the suspects displayed any weapons during the incident.
No injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing as police work to locate the car and apprehend the suspects involved.
