The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Englewood Cliffs Police Department are actively investigating a stabbing incident that took place on Friday, June 14. At approximately 5:34 p.m. on Friday, Englewood Cliffs Police responded to a reported stabbing on Sylvan Avenue.
Officers arriving at the scene found a 30-year-old victim, who was promptly transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center.
The victim was treated for injuries and subsequently released.
The suspect fled the scene, and efforts to identify and apprehend them are ongoing.
The investigation is being jointly conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Englewood Cliffs Police Department under the direction of Chief William Henkelman.
