Bergen County authorities are investigating an attempted carjacking reported in Palisades Park Wednesday evening.
Preliminary information indicated that shortly before 8:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a carjacking in progress near 449 Broad Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found the female victim, who reported that a male suspect attempted to force her from the vehicle.
The assailant was described as a tall thin male with a light complexion and last seen wearing a pink shirt.
The suspect fled the scene and did not manage to get the woman's car.
No injuries were reported.
