Quick backstory: We never intended to be business consultants helping other marriedpreneurs scale.
We needed systems to support all of the moving pieces in our entire lives. So, we went to marriage counseling when we first married, but it didn't help us with the unique challenges of our business. So then we invested in business coaching but didn't learn how to work together in business, just build a business. Although we still invest in both marriage counseling and business coaching to this day, neither offered the needed systems.
So we created them ourselves.
It started before moving to New Jersey when our friends in Texas (who later became clients) asked us to coach them in the systems we created. We initially said, No. We didn't 'do' what they requested as our systems were crafted for us only, or so we thought.
We continued to decline the request for about a year. Until one day, it hit us. We asked each other if this could be something new God was directing us to do, but we couldn't see what it looked like, so we declined. (There's a lesson by itself. We won't always know what it looks like before we leap). We soon after agreed to take them on as clients and created strategic planning sessions to help them build powerfully in sync.
The wife, Chrystal, has her own CPA firm, and the husband, Josh, is the Pastor of a church plant. At the time, they had two small children they were homeschooling while operating said ventures (today, they have four children). They desperately needed robust foundational systems that would position them to streamline and scale for years to come!

Today the Bernards own and operate a private Christian school and have recently been featured in Forbes Magazine as well as been invited guests to speak at the Texas Senate and education committee to support a Senate bill that will create a $10,000 per child educational savings account for Texas families to use toward private schools!
