A city man wanted for 11 burglaries and thefts in Bayonne was arrested and charged, according to police.
According to police, an officer recognized Rodriguez as he attempted to sell an item at a business on Broadway May 23, at approximately 6:20 p.m.
Rodriguez was arrested and charged with the following:
- Attempted burglary from a May 21, 2015 on East 21st Street
- Burglary and theft on May 21, 2015 on West 25th Street
- Burglary and theft on May 20, 2015 on Avenue B
- Burglary and theft on May 16, 2015 on West 15th Street
- Burglary and theft on May 14, 2015 on West 20th Street
- Burglary and theft on May 13, 2015 on Avenue A
- Burglary and theft on May 13, 2015 on West 23rd Street
- Burglary and theft on May 11, 2015 on West 25th Street
- Burglary and theft on May 8, 2015 on West 25th Street
- Burglary and theft on May 4, 2015 on West 19th Street
- Receiving stolen property from a May 4, 2015 burglary and theft on West 19th Street
- Burglary and theft on Feb. 28, 2014 on Avenue C
- Burglary and theft on Jan. 30, 2014 on Avenue A
Rodriguez was taken to the Hudson County jail in Kearny with a $175,000 bail.
He is believed to have stolen approximately $85,000 in jewelry and electronics in total. Only $4,000 worth of items have been recovered.
