Elizabeth Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in the city on Saturday afternoon.
FBI official confirmed that at approximately 2 p.m., police were dispatched to the Capital One Bank located at 911 South Elmora Avenue to investigate reports of a robbery in progress.
Elizabeth Police officials said the suspect passed a note to the bank teller demanding money, but no threats were made and no weapons shown.
According to Elizabeth Police, the teller handed over $400 in cash, and the suspect then fled.
FBI was notified but did not respond.
There were no physical injuries reported.
