Authorities in Newark request the public’s help locating a suspect who stole credit cards from a vehicle and attempted to use them at several stores in the Ironbound section of Newark on January 4.
According to Newark Police, officers responded to a call about the burglary, which occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Avenue P.
Police say the suspect opened the passenger door of the victim’s vehicle and took credit and debit cards from a wallet.
Later that day, the suspect was captured on surveillance video attempting to use the victim’s credit card in stores on Ferry Street.
