Authorities in Newark request the public’s help locating a black 2005 Nissan Pathfinder Wagon stolen on Sunday, October 1.
According to Newark Police, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a male driver double-parked and exited his vehicle at Parkhurst Street near Pennsylvania Avenue, leaving the vehicle running and unattended.
Police say the victim was struck with a closed fist by an unknown suspect. When the victim attempted to return to his vehicle, it was gone.
His wallet, containing $2,000.00, was inside, along with two cell phones.
According to officials, the victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment of his injuries and is reportedly in stable condition.
Detectives investigating this incident have provided a photo of a vehicle of a similar make and model to help in locating the stolen vehicle.
