A series of armed robberies that occurred Wednesday night into Thursday morning in the city has authorities on the search for several suspects that are responsible.
In one incident, a female victim reported being approached then robbed at gunpoint by three male suspects in the 60's block of South 12th Street early Thursday morning. The suspects took personal possessions before fleeing in a grey van with Georgia license plates.
Police later recovered the vehicle but the suspects remained at-large.
Several residents who stated that they were robbed by suspects but were reluctant to report to police.
A community leader urged residents who are victims of robberies or any crime to always call the police to file a report. "Not contacting the police give the perpetrators power" the community leader said.
There were no injuries reported.
