Authorities Release Photos of Men Wanted in Connection with Fatal Camden Shooting

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Camden County Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three men involved in a robbery and fatal shooting in Camden.

The victim, Jamir Syms, 23, of Camden was found lying on the sidewalk after Camden County Police responded to the 700 block of Chestnut Street in reference to multiple 911 calls last night at approximately 8:33 p.m.

Syms was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:43 p.m.

According to police, three males involved in the incident were captured on surveillance footage.

These men are considered armed and dangerous. 

Members of the public should not approach these men, but should call police if they have information pertaining to their identity or whereabouts.
