Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Toms River on Tuesday.At approximately 4:05 p.m., multiple Toms River Police officers responded to the area of Camino Medio following reports of gunshots.
Upon arrival, officials said officers made contact with a male victim who reported that he was riding his bicycle through the Friendly Village development when a juvenile acquaintance shot at him.
Multiple rounds were fired, but none hit the victim. However, some bullets struck neighboring houses.
The Ocean County CSI Unit responded to the scene to document and collect evidence.
The juvenile suspect, who was wearing a white shirt, has been identified.
Juvenile complaints for Attempted Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon have been approved and signed against the suspect.
Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual in a black shirt and/or a silver vehicle associated with the incident.Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mastronardy at 732-349-0150, extension 1346.
