Arson detectives are now investigating two suspicions fires at the Edison elementary school, officials said today.
Hundreds of students attending a summer program at the Lindeneau Elementary School, located on Blossom Street, were evacuated, after a student reported smelling smoke at a school bathroom. The fire was quickly extinguished shortly after 10 a.m. by a staff member.
No injuries were reported.
Last Friday, a fire broke out at a boy's bathroom at the Washington Elementary School on Winthrop Road.
According to investigation, officials found paper products, including rolls of toilet paper, which were used to set both fires. Investigation also revealed that the same students were in both schools.
No motive or suspects were released at this time.
