An investigation is underway into the death of a two-year-old that occurred in the 50's block of Halsted Street according to authorities.
A spokesperson from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said that a two-year-old was taken to University Hospital Saturday afternoon and pronounced dead a short time later. The spokesperson would not release any further information until the results of an autopsy on the child are completed.
