Authorities Investigate Death of Man Found Along Delaware River in Camden

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Camden County Police Department are investigating the death of a man found on the water’s edge in Camden.

Camden County Police received a 911 call around 2:53 p.m. on Sunday for a body found along the bank of the Delaware River near 28th Street and Adams Avenue in Camden.  The discovery was made by a juvenile playing in the area.

The body appears to be of a Hispanic male in his 40s.  Detectives are working on positively identifying him.

The cause and manner of death are unknown at this time.  It is not known how long the man had been in the water. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
