Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a homicide in the city Saturday afternoon.
Camden County Police responded at approximately 2:23 p.m. on Saturday to the 1300 block of Browning Street in Camden in reference to a ShotSpotter activation for multiple gunshots and 911 calls.
Officers arrived and located the victim, Britton Knox, 28, of Camden, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 2:58 p.m.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
No arrests have been made at this time.
