An early morning armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store has authorities in Wayne searching for the suspect responsible.
The incident was reported at around 2:45 a.m. when police were called to the 7-Eleven that's located in the 1200 block of Route 23 South where according to reports, a white male suspects entered the establishment wearing a mask and armed with a gun when he ordered cash while threatening to cause bodily harm to the clerk.
The suspect reportedly wore a black jacket and blue jeans when he took about $500 dollars from the store before fleeing the scene on foot towards the Burger King where he entered a vehicle and fled towards Newark-Pompton Turnpike according to reports.
There were no physical immediately injuries reported.
