Authorities Investigate Another Armed Robbery Reported in Harrison

Police are investigating yet another violent robbery that left an area gas station attendant injured after he was beaten early Wednesday morning just blocks from the Harrison PATH station.

According to police, shortly after 12:45 a.m., officers were called to the Delta Gas station where the 20-year-old gas attendant was violently robbed.

According to the victim, he was sitting outside the office when one of two men put him in a headlock.

The victim was then allegedly dragged into the office, where he was beaten as suspects demanded money.

The two male suspects escaped with $600 in cash and the victim's Samsung tablet.

Shortly after incident, a passerby

contacted police to report that he witnessed some sort of commotion at the gas station, then reportedly observed two males get inside a red SUV, eventually making their way to Harrison Avenue, where they continued into Newark.

The victim suffered injuries to his face.

According to officials, a spike in robberies and thefts in this area has authorities working on ways

to curb robberies in the neighborhood.

The investigation into the robbery remains active and ongoing.
