Police have identified the 18-year-old stuck and killed by a NJ Transit train Sunday.
Authorities were called to the tracks just west of the Hamilton train station shortly before 8:30 p.m. for a report of a male of a person stuck by a train.
Upon arrival, police discovered the male - later identified as Jacob J. St. Phard, 18 - was struck and ultimately pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
According to officials, it remains unclear why St. Phard was on the tracks.
No injuries were reported for the three crew members aboard the train.
