Authorities have released the identity of a 34-year-old Newark woman killed Saturday in the Garden State Parkway.
Police responded to the Garden State Parkway south near milepost 142.3 in Union sometime after 10 a.m. for a report of a crash.
Upon arrival, police discovered a Honda Accord - driven by Chante Solomon - struck an ambulance, crashed through a guardrail and ultimately struck a tree.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
No other injuries were immediately reported according to police.
