Authorities identify 20-year-old Newark man injured in a shooting Wednesday.
The victim in the shooting was identified as Christopher Daniels who was shot and killed on the 100 block of Mapes Avenue near Beth Israel Medical Center sometime around 9 p.m., a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said..
Responding officers, found Daniels in the driveway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shootings remains under investigation by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force.
