Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Atlantic City last night, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton announced.
Atlantic City Police responded to 600 Pacific Avenue, Atlantic City, for a 9-1-1 report of gunshots Sunday at 9:48 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found Carl A. Simpson II, 23, of, Atlantic City, the victim of a shooting. Simpson was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center—City Division, where he died. Next-of-kin were notified.
Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department continue the investigation.
