Authorities Identify Man Killed in Atlantic City Shooting

Law enforcement is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Atlantic City last night, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton announced.

Atlantic City Police responded to the 100 block of South Vermont Avenue, Atlantic City, for a 9-1-1 report of gunshots Sunday at approximately 9:57 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found Kevin Couplin, 24, of, Atlantic City, the victim of a shooting. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy by the New Jersey Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office performed today determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds, and manner of death: homicide.

Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department continue the investigation.
