Authorities Identify Bloomfield Man Killed in Parkway Crash

Police today are continuing to investigate an early morning crash in the Garden State Parkway that killed a Bloomfield man Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers were called to area near mile marker 92 in Brick shortly after 5 a.m. for a report of a crash involving a Ford Edge and a UPS truck. 

A further investigation into the crash revealed that 34-year-old Anthony Romano - who was driving a Ford Edge - rear ended a UPS truck on the southbound side of the Parkway.

Romano's vehicle flipped several times, ejecting him from the vehicle. He was driven was pronounced at the scene authorities said.

The driver of the UPS truck was not injured, according to police.

No charges have been filed in connection to the crash.
