A 60-year-old Lakewood man was killed yesterday after the box truck he was driving rear-ended a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike.
According to authorities, police responded to the New Jersey Turnpike near milepost 71.4 in Cranbury for a report of a crash.
Police say Julius Bassie, of Lakewood, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
