Authorities Charge Three Newark Men with Fatal Shooting of Belleville Man

Three Newark men have been charged with the death of George Negron who was shot and killed outside a 4th Avenue pharmacy on August 26th.

According to authorities, police responded to the area outside the 4th Avenue pharmacy around 6:30 p.m. where they found George Negron, 40, of Belleville, injured. He was subsequently transported to Clara Maass Medical Center where he died a short time later.

An ongoing investigation has led police to charge three individuals identified as John Madera, 23, Nelson Rodriguez, 23, and Adrian Madera, 30, all Newark residents.

Rodriguez was charged with felony murder and first degree murder. His bail was set at $750, 000 by the Honorable Marysol Rosero.

Both brothers, Adrian and John Madera, have been charged with murder, felony murder, first degree robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. Adrian’s bail was set at $75,000 while John’s was set at $1 million.
