Authorities in Elizabeth are looking into a report of an attempted luring that occurred in the city Monday.
According to a letter sent to parents by the Elizabeth Board of Education, a student in the vicinity of Madison - Monroe School # 16, was the target of an attempted luring.
Officials say an older white male approached the student to offer candy. The Elizabeth Police Department was immediately notified of the incident.
