On Saturday, January 13, 2024, Atlantic City Police apprehended 23-year-old Gavin Guzman, a resident of Atlantic City.He faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the New Year’s Day killing of 22-year-old Nazir Cintron.
Following his arrest, Guzman was confined to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
At approximately 7:34 a.m., authorities were alerted to a dire situation at Michigan Avenue and the boardwalk. Responding to the emergency call, police discovered Cintron with multiple stab wounds.
Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Allegations point to Guzman as the assailant, accused of fatally stabbing Cintron in the chest.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit, in collaboration with the Atlantic City Police Department, continues to delve into the case, seeking to uncover the full circumstances of this grievous act.The authorities are urging the community to come forward with any relevant information.
