Federal authorities broke up an international gambling ring that reportedly took illegal bets using numbers from the New Jersey and New York lotteries on Friday.
According to authorities, police raided more than a dozen businesses in Union and Essex Counties where they confiscated tickets and other items used for the operation.
Winnings were distributed cash from the actual numbers drawn in the state lotteries, but winners were reportedly paid larger sums.
Police arrested nearly two dozen people and confiscated $100,000 during the sting.
