Two suspects were taken into custody and charged with possession of weapons in a section of Newark on Wednesday night.
Preliminary reports indicated that an investigation into two individuals who had guns in the area of 50's block of Martin Luther King Boulevard led officers to the area around 8:45 p.m.
During the investigation, police found a male and a female in possession of two firearms at that location.
The pair was arrested without further incident.
No other information was immediately made available at this time.
