Two individuals have been formally charged in connection with the 2016 shooting death of a Bradley Beach man, as announced by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.The case, which remained unresolved for years, saw a significant development with the charges against Mr. Quashon J. McDuffie, 30, of Long Branch, and Mr. Knaliek Joshua, 31, of Asbury Park.
The charges include first-degree felony murder and armed robbery, along with several other severe counts. McDuffie faces additional charges related to unlawful possession of a weapon, while Joshua is also charged with second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon.
The incident, dating back to February 8, 2016, occurred in Neptune Township, where Andre Thorne, 20, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound.
Monmouth County official said Thorne, found in his car, was rushed to a medical center but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation revealed that Thorne was in the company of two others at the time of the shooting.The breakthrough in the case was a result of a joint effort by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Neptune Township Police Department.
Their extensive investigation brought to light the involvement of McDuffie and Joshua in this tragic incident.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
