Authorities in Newark report that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Juan E. Nunez-Vilorio, 42, of Newark, in connection with a theft that occurred on Thursday, March 2.
According to Newark Police, a man’s wallet was stolen from his locker at LA Fitness, 237 South Orange Avenue.
Police say the lock used was pulled open by the suspect without using the code.
The victim’s bank alerted him that someone had attempted to make a $700.00 purchase at Walmart in Kearny.
The suspect attempted to use a second credit card from the victim’s wallet, which was authorized.
Also stolen from the victim’s wallet was $350.00 in cash.
Detectives investigating this incident have identified Juan E. Nunez-Vilorio as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of theft.
He is described as Hispanic, 5’8” tall and 200 pounds, with black and blonde hair and brown eyes.
