Monmouth County authorities arrested a Red Bank man in connection with the homicide of a 26-year old male Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced.
According to a statement released by Prosecutor Gramiccioni, the incident occurred early Sunday morning where Demar S. Reevey, 23, of Red Bank, was charged in connection with the death of Mr. Andrew Hill, 26, also of Red Bank.
Police say at approximately 12:43 on Sunday morning, police received a 911 call reporting a stabbing victim in the area of Tilton Avenue and Bank Street in Red Bank. Police found the Hill at the scene in severe condition.
EMS transported Hill to Riverview Medical Center where doctors pronounced him dead at 1:15 a.m.
Police say they apprehended Reevey a short time later then charged him with first-degree Murder and third-degree Possession of a Weapon (knife) for an Unlawful Purpose.
The incident remains under investigation.
