In East Rutherford, a slashing incident late Tuesday night led to the swift arrest of a suspect by local authorities.
Police responded to an emergency call at around 10:15 p.m. in the teens block of Rosewood Terrace, where they discovered an individual with a minor laceration to the face.
Following the initial response, a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) was issued to neighboring towns.
Within minutes, Carlstadt police successfully located and apprehended the suspect in the parking lot of a Chase Bank. The individual was taken into custody and charged with assault.
Authorities report that the victim is expected to recover from the injuries sustained.
The quick arrest stresses the effective coordination among local law enforcement agencies in Bergen County.
