A set of armed business robberies that occurred overnight in Irvington and Maplewood has police in both townships investigating
Gunmen arrived at the 7-Eleven establishment that's located in the 700 block of Irvington Avenue shortly before 2:30 a.m. with weapons in hand and demanded employees to hand over cash from the establishment's registers according to reports.
The male suspects reportedly took an undetermined amount of cash before speeding away from the scene in a Jeep Cherokee reports said.
The men then entered into the township of Irvington and robbed several people on the Clinton Avenue before robbing a store at gunpoint in the area.
Irvington officials would not release the name of the establishment that was robbed.
The suspect's vehicle was stolen out of Jersey City reports said.
There were no physical injuries immediately reported.
