Police in Jersey City are looking for a suspect who attempted to steal a vehicle and resorted to violence when confronted by the car's owner.
Officers swiftly responded to reports of gunfire in the single-digit block of Howard Place before 2:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival, they encountered the victim, who recounted a harrowing encounter.
The victim revealed that a male suspect had tried to steal his vehicle, but the situation escalated dramatically when confronted.
According to reports, the suspect produced a firearm and discharged three rounds at the car owner before running from the scene. Miraculously, no injuries were reported despite the terrifying confrontation.
The suspect remains at large as authorities attempt to locate and apprehend him.
