Hudson and Essex County Police officials are investigating multiple robberies that occurred in Jersey City and at least one in Newark's East Ward overnight.
Police believe several suspects occupying an Audi Q with NY license plates drove around and began robbing individuals in Jersey City with long guns and handguns.
According to reports, the robbery spree began on Lentz Avenue in Newark's Ironbound section, where suspects fitting the description ambushed a person and stole personal possessions before fleeing the scene.
Immediately after the Newark incident, Jersey City Police began investigating the suspects' 3-4 armed robberies.
Nonphysical injuries were reported and the assailants remain at large.
