Paterson Police took a suspect into custody after they believe he robbed two gas stations in the city Tuesday night.
Police responded to reports of an armed robbery in progress at the BP Gas Station located in the 500 block of 21st Avenue shortly before 11 p.m.
Units arrived and were told that a suspect armed with a gun stole cash from employees.
While officers investigated the robbery, they learned that a nearby Power Gas Station was also robbed by a suspect fitting the exact description of the BP Gas Station robbery.
Officers caught up with the unidentified assailant and placed him into custody without further incident.
No physical injuries were rpeorted.
