A gas station attendant suffered non-fatal injuries after being attacked by an armed suspect during a robbery in Jersey City Saturday night.
Police were dispatched to the Shell Gas Station located at 3080 John F. Kennedy Boulevard to investigate reports of a robbery in progress call.
Upon arrival, they found an employee bleeding from his nose and after investigating, police learned that an armed suspect had approached the attendant and demanded cash.
Police said when the worker handed over $20, the assailant began punching the victim in the face.
According to reports, authorities believe the suspect fled the scene in a silver Lincoln MLZ with a large hole in the rear window.
The suspect remains at large.
