An overnight armed robbery that was reported in the city has police searching for a suspect.
The incident was reported at around 1 a.m. in the 900 block of Springfield Avenue when according to the victim, a black male suspect (who was armed with a weapon) approached and demanded personal possessions.
The victim reportedly handed over items shortly before the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect was reportedly wearing a purple shirt and a white t-shirt around his face.
There were unconfirmed reports of shots fired but no injuries reported.
