An armed robbery that happened on a NJ Transit Bus in Newark has police searching for suspects.
The incident was reported sometime after 9 p.m. in the area of Irvine Turner Boulevard and Avon Avenue where police were called to the scene after receiving reports of an armed robbery in progress on board the bus.
Police are looking for two black male suspects who reportedly pointed a weapon at the victim and took personal possessions before running off the bus onto Irvine Turner Boulevard towards Madison Avenue according to reports.
Authorities said one of the suspects was a light complexioned black male who wore basketball shorts and was armed with a gun. The other suspect was dark in complexion and was last seen wearing a black shirt and a dark hat.
There were no injuries reported.
