Camden County officials said on the morning of Friday, February 2, an armed robbery occurred at the Philly Diamond Connection, a jewelry store located in the Cherry Hill Mall. At around 10:40 a.m., police officers were called to the scene following reports of the robbery.
According to the store's management, two armed individuals held the employees at gunpoint and proceeded to empty the store's safe.
After the heist, the suspects quickly left the mall and were seen getting into a black sport utility vehicle without license plates.
The getaway vehicle was parked on the south side of the mall's lot and was last spotted heading eastbound on Church Road in Cherry Hill.
Witnesses described one of the suspects as a black male with a medium build, donned in a dark hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap, and khaki pants.
The second suspect was described as either a Hispanic or black male with a medium complexion and thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
Both individuals were reported to be wearing masks that partially obscured their faces.
The Cherry Hill Police Department has declared this as an active and ongoing investigation.
