Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in a neighborhood the city's East Ward last night.
The incident was reported in the 100 block of Prospect Street at around 8:15 p.m. where cops were called to the scene after receiving reports of an armed robbery in progress.
First arriving units located the victim who told them that a black male suspect exited a vehicle armed with a gun and demanded personal possessions.
The suspect reportedly took several items before fleeing the scene in a gold or champagne colored 2005 BMW SUV with reported NJ licenses plates "M93-GPR".
There were no physical injuries reported.
