Authorities in Garfield are searching for the suspect responsible for a gunpoint robbery of a gas station in Garfield overnight.
According to reports, sometime around 10:30 p.m., police responded to reports of an armed robbery in progress at the Shell Gas Station located on Midland Avenue and River Drive.
Officers arrived to the scene and began a search for a black male suspect who was last seen wearing dark clothing when he pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.
There were no physical injuries reported.
