Police are investigating and looking for a motorcyclist who fired several rounds at an Uber driver in East Orange Monday night.
According to East Orange Police officials, at around 9 p.m., police were dispatched to 258 Harrison Street to investigate reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting and the driver of a vehicle suffering injuries consistent with being cut by broken class.
During the investigation, East Orange Police learned that an Uber driver nearly collided with a motorcyclist, which then escalated into a verbal road rage dispute.
East Orange Police officials said the motorcyclist pulled into the driveway and started shooting at the driver near the South Harrison Street address.
According to police, none of the gunshots hit anyone, but flying bullets broke the driver's windshield and glass, causing superficial cuts to the Uber driver.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
