Police in Bloomfield are on the search for a suspect wanted for a gunpoint robbery at a business Friday evening.
According to a statement released by Bloomfield officials, officers responded to 378 Broad Street (Town Pub) on a report of an armed robbery in progress.
Police say upon arrival, they learned that an African American male approached two patrons who were dining on the sidewalk at the Town Pub.
Police say the male suspect brandished a silver handgun and demanded the victims to give him their belongings.
According to police, after the victims turned over their cell phones, wallets and keys, the suspect entered a Silver Chevy Malibu, driven by another African American male.
The vehicle was last seen traveling on Pitt Street towards Glen Ridge, according to police.
This incident is under investigation, an no physical injuries have been reported.
