Police in North Brunswick are on the search for a suspect wanted for an early morning armed robbery of a Wawa store.
According to preliminary reports. Police were called to the 1900 block of NJ-27 to investigate reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Employees told units arriving at the scene that a black male suspect entered the establishment armed with a gun and took an unknown amount of proceeds before fleeing the scene northbound on NJ-27.
Police with the assistance of neighboring police departments canvassed the area in search of the suspect, but it is not immediately known if officers made an arrest.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
