Police in Paterson are investigating a reported armed carjacking that occurred in the city early Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to an address on Highland Street at around 6:30 a.m. to investigate a carjacking in progress.
Upon officer’s arrival, they found the victim who reported being approached by a Hispanic male who ordered their vehicle at gunpoint.
The suspect took a green Kia with a reported NJ license plate number “WMC-36J”.
Police say the suspect is only described as a short Hispanic male.
There were no physical injuries reported.
