Police in Newark has launched an investigation into a carjacking reported in the city's North Ward Monday.
Authorities responded to reports of a carjacking in progress near 312 Bloomfield Avenue at 2nd Avenue West shortly before 10:50 p.m.
When officers arrived, they were informed that an armed suspect pointed a weapon at the victim and stole a block 2014 Acura RDX.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "U95-KDW".
There were no physical injuries reported.
