An armed carjacking that happened in the in 70's block of Carolina Ave. has police investigating.
Police responded to the West Ward neighborhood on reports of a carjacking in progress that happened at around 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, police began a search for a grey 4-door 2005 Toyota Corolla that was taken at gunpoint.
The suspect was described as a black male wearing dark clothing and armed with a black and silver handgun.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "YYC-70K"
